Introduction

The "Hotel Melanoma" moniker is a metaphor for living with my particular brand of cancer. Except for those lucky few of us deemed "cured", all we cancer survivors are guests of one of the many, many branded hotels in the "Hotel Carcinoma" chain. We can check out any time we like, but we can never leave. Meanwhile, let's be livin' it up; and please support cancer education, prevention, and treatment research.

Bracketology Rock

Hoping that I’m better at fracturing classic rock songs than I am at picking winners and losers in the NCAA basketball tournament, here’s the Hotel Melanoma rendition of Neil Young’s “Heart of Gold”…

I want to live
I want to give
I've been a whiner
For black art of moles
It's teen convection
I can’t relive
That keeps me searching
For black art of moles
And I'm getting old
Keeps me searching
For black art of moles
And I'm getting old

My blog’s no livelihood
I've felt like deadwood
I got some potions
For black art of moles
I've been skin fry kind
It was a fine time
That keeps me searching
For black art of moles
And I'm getting old
Keeps me searching
For black art of moles
And I'm getting old

Keep me searching
For black art of moles
U keeps me searching
For black art of moles
And I'm growing mold
I've been a whiner
For black art of moles
