Introduction

The "Hotel Melanoma" moniker is a metaphor for living with my particular brand of cancer. Except for those lucky few of us deemed "cured", all we cancer survivors are guests of one of the many, many branded hotels in the "Hotel Carcinoma" chain. We can check out any time we like, but we can never leave. Meanwhile, let's be livin' it up; and please support cancer education, prevention, and treatment research.

Turn It Up!

For all of you warriors who’ve had a close encounter with chemotherapy of the strong kind, and that merry band of oncologists at the University of Colorado Cancer Center who talked me into doing biochemotherapy, the Hotel Melanoma rendition of Autograph’s “Turn Up The Radio”…

I'm working hard, you’re working too
We do it every day
For every minute I have to work
I had a minute of rays
Day in, day out, all week long
Things go better with oncs
The only time they turn it down
Is when I'm sleepin’ it off

Turn up the rad chemo
I need the ‘fusing, gimmie some more
Turn up the rad chemo
I wanna beat it, got to gimmie some more

Now listen
I’m gonna shake, I’m gonna flash
So start it off, a one two three
I feel the heat, I'm in a trance
No better place to be
Daytime nightime, anytime
Things go better with oncs
I'm goin’ twenty four hours a day
I can't seem to stop

Turn up the rad chemo
I need the ‘fusing, gimmie some more
Turn up the rad chemo
I wanna beat it, got to gimmie some more

Turn up the rad chemo
I need the ‘fusing, gimmie some more
Turn up the rad chemo
I wanna beat it, got to gimmie some more

Turn up the rad chemo
I need the ‘fusing, gimmie some more
Turn up the rad chemo
I wanna beat it, got to gimmie some more

Turn up the rad chemo
I need the ‘fusing, gimmie some more
Turn up the rad chemo
I wanna beat it, got to gimmie some more
